About Clock Projection

The story of the projected time clock begins with the Ever Ready Battery Company, in 1920 England. The company produced an 'electrical accessory' crafted from brass and mahogany that projected a dim image of a clock on the ceiling.

In 1985, By Design Limited was formed to design and manufacture a range of analogue projection clocks. By Design's first projecting clock, the Timebeam Classic, was conceived and produced in the company's first few years. The key to Timebeam's success is its finely tuned lamp, which creates a powerful light output without the size and added cost of fan-cooled projectors. This engineering breakthrough established Timebeam as the industry leader in low-cost clock image projection.

Over the years, Timebeam has released many new time projecting products with upgraded capabilities and features.
